Is there a reason to use `top` over `perf top`?

Is there a reason to use `top` over `perf top`?

1. "perf top" - didn't know about this. interesting.

2. 'top' shows more then 'perf top' - it shows memory consumption, it
shows time spent waiting for I/O (which won't show on 'perf top'), it
shows the spread of processes and threads across the CPU cores.

i say - why not use both?
