<div dir="ltr">Dreamhost response time depends on your application - it's excellent for std PHP/MySQL -i.e. Wordpress and Joomla work well on production sites, not just testing. But dreamhost don't support Postgres and for more complex applications and/or response time critical applications - we use <a href="http://slicehost.com">slicehost.com</a><br>

For what it's worth, I'm very happy with my dreamhost account, but i have it for personal use, not business. I heard complaints about their mail service a few years ago, but not recently (servers not reachable), and I don't use their mail service, I use Google Apps for my domain email.<br>
