But if you are like me - I suspect that you might be looking for<br>
something to allow you to watch Internet media as well as digital TV<br>
on your large screen TV in the living room, right?<br>

I recently learned about DLNA (<a href="http://dlna.org" target="_blank">dlna.org</a>) - there are apparently<br>
thousands of devices supporting it and the TV's among them which do it<br>
properly should allow viewing of media over LAN (or even wireless LAN)<br>
and there are apparently some open source efforts to support its<br>
server-side on Linux too.<br>

My current (mid-term) plan is to get my hands on one of these TV's,<br>
get a proper Digital TV tuner card on my desktop Linux and serve media<br>
from the Linux over Wirless N or wired LAN to the TV.<br>
<br>
I have absolutely zero experience with actually implementing this or<br>
even seeing/reading about someone who did. I just read a bit about it<br>
in the last few weeks.<br>
