</div>I don't know if this is your case, but this usually happens when the<br>
*remote* machine doesn't have ~/.ssh/authorized_keys set up properly.<br>
<br>
A very common reason is that it doesn't have the proper permissions.<br>
Make sure that nobody else but you have any permissions for ~/.ssh and<br>
~/.ssh/authorized_keys on the remote machine (run "chmod og=" on these<br>
files if they have the wrong permission).<br>
<br>
If this is NOT the problem, go to the server and look at its logs to<br>
see if they give you any hints on what is not working.<br>
This log may be on /var/log/secure - but this location can change depending<br>
on your distribution.<br>
