You can buy many cards with realtek, atheros chipsets but you'll need to do some search about antenna's range limits, if your card can support it etc.. </div>

I'm looking for a wireless card/adapter fully supported under linux:<br>
driver (preferably open-source), a good<br>
range (~1km+) and a reliable vendor (I heard that Atheros/Realtek are<br>
the main chipsets for these cards).<br>
I'm willing to pay up to 50USD$.<br>

The card may serve as an AP.<br>
<br>
Personal experience sharing is welcome.<br>
