Using Linux more than a decade, I can say that if you're competent enough as a system administrator (which you should be, if you "go big" and start high-availability-ing your stuff - you need to understand what you're doing) - I've learned that most of the time, a downtime of a Linux system is due to... hardware issues;<br>

If you want it to look nice and /think/ it makes you cool because you got a commercial CD by mail (!!) for free (!!), use it. If you want something useful that works - don't. Just like Vista (and I would say "7" as well, but oh well.) :-)<br>
