<div>ok, it was a problem of jumpers on the motherboard.<br><br>i am now able to start an X-server on the left card using "X -layout LeftMonitor" , then i start an x-server on the right monitor using "X :1 -layout RightMonitor"<br>
<br>the problem is:<br>if i press ctrl-alt-f7 i see only the left monitor.<br>if i press ctrl-alt-f8 i see only the right monitor.<br><br>is there a way to make them both work at the same time ?<div><div></div><div>

My first check would be to make sure you can see the 8600 at all. If you remove the 8400GS, does the 8600 work properly?<div><div></div><div><br>
