<div dir="ltr">I've encountered the opposite problem.<br>Files I create in a Linux text editor (Kwrite) don't open properly in Windows Notepad. I get the entire file on one line.<br>Maybe there's something strange going on behind the scenes in KDE?<div>

<br></div></div></div></blockquote><div><br>That's something else and relates to the way Unix and Windows define "newline".<br><br>You could run your file through the unix2dos utility prior to moving it to Windows, and it will most probably solve your issue.<br>
<br>Alternatively, if you'll be using Kate (which I think is better than KWrite), you have Tools -> End of Line -> UNIX (and you can change there to Windows/DOS)<br><br>HTH,<br><br>-- Shimi<br></div></div><br></div>
