<div><br></div><div>Abstract</div><div><br></div><div>This lecture will discuss the challenges presented by Hebrew vowel marks (nikud) with respect to glyph-placement and kerning in (La)TeX and under Linux, as well as the various approaches to date to meet these challenges, and likewise the cultural aspects of their causes and implications.</div>
