Actually, I already read about the possibility to install rsyslog, but<br>
aside from the "learning curve" of the new system, is there any real<br>
reason to do so? Are there problems with journalctl or is it just a<br>
desire to use the familiar old system?<br>

What's your recommendation?<br></blockquote><div><br></div><div>Well, I find it convenient to have all the logs in their place as plaintext instead of having to use the journalctl command which is invconvenient and tends to trim the output to the screen limit, and I can also easily grep the logs on the system or use other text-processing commands.<br>

<br></div></div></blockquote></div><br></div><div class="gmail_extra">[1] - The problem is that the Linux-IL SMTP server has been configured to reject E-mails which are sent from a different IP after an initial rejection as an anti-spam countermeasure, while my hosting uses several IPs to send outgoing E-mails from it. When I contacted my hosting they told me they would not do fix it and naturally, the Linux-IL SMTP server still has that measure in place.<br clear="all">
