I google'd for this when I found this link:<div><br></div><div><a href="http://researchcenter.paloaltonetworks.com/2014/12/coolreaper-revealed-backdoor-coolpad-android-devices/">http://researchcenter.paloaltonetworks.com/2014/12/coolreaper-revealed-backdoor-coolpad-android-devices/</a><br></div><div><br></div><div>Bottom line - avoid these devices, and if already got them then see whether you can wipe them out completely and replace with an open ROM like CyanogenMod (<a href="http://www.cyanogenmod.org/">http://www.cyanogenmod.org/</a>) or others </div><div>(<a href="http://www.needrom.com/category/coolpad/">http://www.needrom.com/category/coolpad/</a>) </div></div><div class="gmail_extra"><br><div class="gmail_quote">On 27 December 2014 at 00:54, David Harel <span dir="ltr"><<a href="mailto:hareldvd@gmail.com" target="_blank">hareldvd@gmail.com</a>></span> wrote:<br><blockquote class="gmail_quote" style="margin:0 0 0 .8ex;border-left:1px #ccc solid;padding-left:1ex"><div dir="ltr"><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div>Greetings'<br><br></div><div>I have an Android/Linux related question here.
