There is still time to make your Tax Deductible Donation to Lema'an
Achai for Israeli, US & UK tax year 2009!

In these challenging economic times, where every dollar, pound &

It costs you just 650 NIS to give each 1000 NIS donation to Lema'an
Achai (for Israeli tax payers) - because the taxman chips in the
difference.

How It Works: Israel supports charitable donations by letting people
file for a return on their income tax at the end of the year. By
filing form 0135 (or for those with overseas income, Form 1301 and
relevant appendices) with the tax authorities (Mas Hachnasa) - you
will be able to get back up to 35% of the amount you gave to an
officially authorized charity like Lema'an Achai which is registered
as a seif 46 Organization and defined by the tax code as a qualified
charity (only 11% of Israeli charities are seif 46 approved). Submit
the form 0135 together with your Lema'an Achai receipts and a few
months later you should receive a directly deposited refund in your
bank account.
If you are self employed be sure to give *all* your Lema'an Achai
receipts to your accountant.

Furthermore, for Israeli, USA and UK donations received before 1/1/10,
you can obtain your
income tax refund still in 2010 (rather than in 2011, for donations
received after 1/1/10).
This will positively impact *your* cash-flow, which can be important
during turbulent times.

USA ("American Friends of Lema'an Achai" under 501(c)(3) charity status),
UK ("British Friends of Lema'an Achai"; charity coupons also accepted)
