For native English speaking children finishing Grades 1 and 2.

Hebrew reading skills and comprehension are a leading factor for
success  in Israeli schools.
Help your child raise her/his Hebrew reading level.
For the second year, The Benjamin Children’s Library will be offering
a program during
the summer to assist your less than enthusiastic Hebrew reader to
learn to love reading in Hebrew.

Located in the warm atmosphere of the Benjamin Children’s Library,
your child will work with
a specially trained teenage mentor, supervised by educational
professionals. The program
includes the following elements:

* Story hour focusing on Language Enrichment
* Genre exposure: fiction, magazines, humor
* Comprehension strategies
* Creative activity in each session
* Specially designed for English speaking immigrants
* Ending with a special exhibition for parents
The program is designed and run by Vered Elimelech (PhD candidate,
Children's Literature)
and Sharon Kleinerman (MA, licensed Educational Diagnostician,
specializing in reading
encouragement).

Details:
The program is designed for native English speakers who have been in
Israel at least a year.

Children going into grade 2 (boys and girls) 4:15-5:15
Children going into grade 3 (girls), 5:15-6:15

Dates
Sunday, Tuesday- July 26, July 28
Sunday, Tuesday- August 2, August 4
Tuesday, Thursday - August 11, August 13

Cost is 200NIS
