[RBS] anyone heard of Kupat Hair??

A friend in the states was told if you give money to an organization called 
Kupat Hair then Rav Kanievsky shlita himself davens for you.  She is 
wondering if anyone has ever heard of this organization or has any info on 
its authenticity and accuracy of the info she is getting.
