Does your teen learn computers at school but wants to take
it to the next level? Is your son or daughter interested in learning how to
create a website and put it online? Sign them up for the Web Builder chug where
they will learn all aspects of website development, including how to


 


write HTML/CSS


design pages with an web authoring system


create graphics in the appropriate format for Web pages


modify images using image editing software


apply appropriate design principles to create professional
looking websites


create accessible Web pages for individuals with
disabilities


use Internet search tools to locate high-quality content


understand Search Engine Optimization concepts


 


The chug is for kids aged 14-16. All students will receive
web space to upload their own website, which they will create during the course
of the chug, as well as whatever software they will need. Students should be
able to bring a laptop to the chug, where an Internet connection will be
available.
