[RBS] Refridgerator recommendations

We fear that our fridge is on it's way to the fridge graveyard soon.
Does anyone have any recommendations for a fridge here? Our appliance repairman recommends Sharp b/c he does not get calls on them. 
Any tried and true experiences after a few years use?
Any advice as to what to look for, qualities, chochtkes that are not worth it? Brands to avoid?
