Samson Riders Bicycle Club  - "Rochvei Shimshon"  - is soon opening a new
cycling club for children, youth & adults on R' HaNarkis in Givat Sharet!

Come learn about the wonderful work Rochvei Shimshon has been doing and how
you can help the new Moadon build a stronger local community – for
ourselves, our children, our neighbours. 

WHAT: Informational evening & fundraising event for Rochvei Shimshon's new
local bike club

WHEN: Wednesday, December 29th @ 8:15 pm
 
WHERE: The home of Deborah & Joe Weisblatt, HaHavatzelet 8/B, Beit Shemesh

For 6 years, Rochvei Shimshon has been strengthening communities in Beit
Shemesh by offering cycling chugim, competitive racing programs, bike tours,
mechanic training, and road safety programs. Participants have built up
self-esteem, developed physical abilities & technical skills, learned
bicycle safety, responsibility, teamwork, and respect for themselves & their
environment.  

AGENDA:

·         Meet Tadela and Avram, our 16-year-old reps on the Israeli "Cadet"
road-racing team.

·         Learn about Rochvei Shimshon & our plans for the new club house on
R' HaNarkis

·         Learn how your volunteer and financial support can help make this
program successful

·         Hear about cycling programs for you and your children

·         Light refreshments will be served

·         Rochvei Shimshon bike shirts & shorts will be for sale (by
Funkier)

Rochvei Shimshon is a recognized not-for-profit organization for tax
purposes (paragraph 46) in Israel. You can receive a tax deductible receipt
before the end of the year. Many of the club's programs for children & youth
at risk or from disadvantaged families are highly subsidized!

Race registration for 1 cyclist (per race)

Subsidy for 1 needy participant in a weekly chug: 
 100 nis/month
Stress test for 1 competitive racer
 100 nis
Official bike shirt/shorts for one competitor

Registration for one racer with the Israel Cycling Federation
 500 nis/year
One-time transportation for group to competitions or public cycling events
around the country
 500 nis
Maintenance of Club's bikes (tubes, cables, tools, oil, etc)

Trainer for weekly chugim

Purchase of 1 new bike

Painting and setting-up the new Moadon
Recruiting kids/youth/adults for the chugim & workshops
Donating bicycles, helmets, bike equipment
Accompanying cycling groups (locally or around country)
Assisting during bicycle safety events @ schools
Offering lectures such as "healthy diet for athletes"
