[RBS] going "on the books" - benefits and losses??

I have been offered a job which would mean opening a tik at mas hachnassa. I 
understand that I would have to see an accountant, go to Ramle to open a 
"tik" and get "kabalot". Could someone please explain the benefits and 
losses involved, as compared with a "tlush" which is what I worked with so 
far? For example, would I have to pay a fortune to the accountant?
