A Haifa resident contracted with a real estate agent to sell her apartment
in 2001, but all the potential buyers withdrew their interest after visiting
her building. The next-door neighbor, who coveted the apartment for himself,
frightened them all away.A second agent also tried unsuccesfully....The
neighbor wnated to buy the apartment himself...!
Recently, nine years after the fact, the Haifa District Court has ordered
the neighbor to pay Shaltiel NIS 88,000 in damages, for keeping her from
selling her apartment.
