[RBS] "Dina D'malchusa Dina" - Clarification

Due to the many inquiries....


While tonight's shiur will indeed touch on the very misunderstood status of "Dina D'malchusa Dina" in Eretz/Medinat Yisrael, we will not be addressing or discussing last week's "Bagatz vs. Badatz" fiasco. The timing is merely coincidental.

 

ABOUT THE SHIUR:

 

The Sunday night "She'ailos U'Teshuvos" shiur is a 50-minute shiur exploring relevant
Halachic issues.

 

The shiur is informal, information packed, and frankly, a lot of fun. It is appropriate and attended by advanced scholars as well as working laymen. Participants are encouraged to contribute their thoughts and knowledge. Handouts are distributed for further study.

 

Tonight's shiur promises to be exciting (controversial in other ways!) with an attempt to present a record-breaking 25 sheilos uteshuvos on various Dina D'malchusa Dina issues with an emphasis on understanding the entire concept from Tanach through to Mishna, Gemara, Rishonim, Achronim, and of course, poskim.

 

The shiur takes place Sunday night at Beis Tefilla at 21:10 sharp, and is preceded by Rav Malinowitz's 21:00-21:10 Chovos Halevavos shiur. Refreshments are [often] served.
