===============================================

Does your 11-13 year old like to express their
creativity on the
computer? Are they full of stories, just waiting to get out? The
digital storytelling camp encourages creative writing using
animation tools to bring stories to life. Campers will be paired up to
work on stories and animations together. The animation programs focus
on creating stories from pre-built characters, so campers do not need
to be artistic and will not be drawing everything from scratch. For
those who do enjoy it, they will be able to create their own graphics
for the 2D movies (3D modeling is more complicated and way beyond the
scope of this course).

There will be brainstorming sessions where campers create story lines
and characters for their movies and learn how to flesh out details of a
story, and plan it out through the use of storyboards. They will then
create the animations to bring their stories to life. One week will
teach 2D animation, one week will teach 3D animation, and one week will
teach video editing. 100% free software will be used in the camp and
students will get everything on a disk so they can work on projects at
home.

Computers will be available for all students, but space is
limited so call or email now. See http://www.lifelong-learner.com/training/digital-storytelling-summer-camp.php
for more information.
