[RBS] have you had an insurance claim for a total loss on your car - if so would like some feedback

If you had an insurance claim for a total loss on your car, can you tell me
how long it took for you to get reimbursed from the insurance company?  I am
particularly interested if you were paid from the insurance company of the
car that hit you and where it was clear and acknowledged from the beginning
that the fault of the accident was the other party.
