[RBS] Psychometric info please

I am looking into psychometric courses for my daughter. Has anyone took a particular course that was really good & not astronomically expensive, & one that you get the most out of (ie good grades after the course). 
Please advise since this is a new thing for my daughter. Also are there new study books every year or we can buy used ones?
