Forum Shemesh Yehuda and Matnas Meyerhof invite the public to participate in
a series of hands-on COMPOSTING WORKSHOPS. 

What: 3-experiential, hands-on sessions
When: 
1/ Mon. November 29 19:-21:00 - intro to composting; building your own home
composter; clean & safe maintenance; tips for success
2/ Fri. Dec. 17 9:30-11:30 - visit to local active compost sites, with
explanations
3/ Mon. Dec. 20 19:00-21:00 - managing a winter compost pile; using your
compost in your home garden/planter boxes; troubleshooting

Where: Matnas Meyerhof, Givat Sharet, Beit Shemesh

Who: Interested adults & youth

Cost: 120NIS per person

What else:
* The City of Beit Shemesh will be offering manufactured composters for a
reduced price in the coming weeks - preference to course participants. 
* Take part in preparing the 'educational compost pile' at the Matnas next
to its community garden
* Composting can reduce your household waste production by as much as 40%
and provide you with mineral-rich, free fertilizer!
