Prices rise 40% in Modi'in project, new names to its neighborhoods:
A year ago, the Modi'in Municipality , decided (13 years late!) to give
names to its city neighborhoods. Until then, they were named after the
developer that built the housing projects. One of the city's newer
neighborhoods, Buchman South, which mostly consists of private homes, was
renamed "Moriah".
Moriah's residents have diverse backgrounds. Half are religious and half are
secular. It has a range of projects, including some built by buyers groups.
One of the neighborhood's newer projects is" Euro Garden", which has 144
houses built on one of the area's last land reserves.
Prices in Euro Garden have risen 40% since marketing of the project began in
January 2007. In May 2009, a 175-sq.m. five-room apartment at 43 Sarah Imenu
St. was sold for NIS 1.53 million. In December 2009, a 175-sq.m. five-room
apartment at 47 Sarah Imenu St. was sold for NIS 1.75 million. In October
2010, a 150-sq.m. six-room apartment at 30 Rachel Imenu St. was sold for NIS
2.13 million.
