[RBS] Computer question

My computer asked me to do a microsoft update and it updated a free Microsoft Security now I need to do again the AVG anti virus update, but this does not work because of the Microsoft security. which of these programs will keep my computer clean? the microsoft security or AVg since it seems they can't live together
