[RBS] Arab workers and other concerns.

I wanted to post to the list the response that I got to my concern from
our local "Tov " rep. 

Unfortunately, in Israel,  Fire and Police are not under the
jurisdiction of the locality. They are nationalized.  
That said, the Mayor has met numerous times with them, and I myself have
been in touch with the local Mishmar Ezrachi to pressure them as well. 
They have recently informed me that there should now be steady overnight
patrols in the ramah. 
Time will tell.

In addition, someone pointed out that these events often have corporate
sponsors.

Hello All, 

Here is my contribution to the Arab worker discussion. Every Chag we get
this elaborate full color pamphlet about all the activities that the
Irya is sponsoring, hasaot, admission and all. Including large concerts,
open to all, with big names. Yet, when there was a local fire the fire
dept didn't show up until after one of the residents had taken charge.
We need basic services such as fire dept and police dept BEFORE Chol
Hamoed activities in full color. Can we petition the Irya to redirect
those resources?
