ברוך ה' היום עבר בשלום עם כח עצום של משטרה כולל הימניקים ולא נתנו לקנאים לעמוד על המדרחה. כאשר אחד סירב לעזוב את המדרחה עצרו אותו.  חייבים להכיר טוב לשר לביטחון פנים אהרונוןןיץ מישראל ביתינו שדאג שיהיה כח כזאת וגם למקד התחנה ולשוטרים.  אני מבקש שתכתבו אי מייל של תודה אל השר עם בקשה שיהיו היסם שמה כל יום בשעת היציאה כדי שהמבוגרים לא חייבים לצאת כל יום ויום.  הכתובת היא

אני חייב להדגיש שהגיעו חרדים מרמת בית שמש לעמוד איתנו וגם בחורי ישיבה מנחלה ומנוחה.  וגם שכל המבוגרים לא הכניסו לוויכוחים עם הקנאים כמו שבקשו המשטרה.  
 
בנוגע לזה רציתי לעדכן אתכם שאתמול הארחתי פגישה של פעילים מכל השכונות ואוכלוסיות בעיר והחלטנו לעבוד ביחד בכל מאבק שעולה דרכינו ושנעבוד לשמור על  אחדות הציבור הכללי לקראת הבחירות בשנתיים כדי שנקח את שליטת העיר בחזרה.  גם יש קבותה של חרדים מתונים שרוצים שיתוף פעולה בזה ויכול להיות איזה אירוע של אחדות במוצאי שבת הבאה.  אני אעדכן אתכם.
 
עוד דבר בנוגע לאחדות - יש מכתב של כל העשרה חברי המועצה הציונים שביחד דורשים ישיבת המליאה בעניים הקצעות קרקע רק לחרדים.  זה הפעם הראשול שהעשרה עובדים ביחד על משהו נגד התשע מצד החרדי ונותן תקווה שיהיה שיתוף פעולה בעוד דברים והצלת העיר
 
אני אהיה בקשר עם עידכונים על המצב באורות והעיר אבל בינתיים, היה יום טוב.  דב ליפמן
 
Thank God, the passed peacefully. The police showed up as was requested and they did not let the extremists onto the sidewalk in the way of the kids as was requested. More adults showed up than we have had in the last few days and everyone showed incredible restraint despite the anger we all feel. Most importantly, another day went by with the girls safe and sound. I want to specifically thank the Minister of Public Security, Yitzchak Aharonovich from Yisrael Beiteinu, whose office saw the videos and responded by making sure the "super cops" were on hand today. We hope they return daily. Please write to sar at mops.gov.il to express your thanks to the minister and to make the request that the "yasmnikim" come very day for school dismissal. We must also thank Danny Hershtal of Yisroel Beiteinu for connecting us to the right people to help make this happen.

It was so nice to see chareidim from RBS (for sure from Beis Tefilla and Chabad) join with us in solidarity as well as some yeshiva boys from Nachala Umenucha. Thank you and we hope that many more will join us if we have to continue being there or for any other issue that arises and I hope we would all do the same.

In that spirit I wanted to mention a few interesting developments:

1)Last night, I hosted a meeting of activists from neighborhoods throughout the city and from all populations in the city. We decided to all work together to make sure that the needs of all populations are being addressed and in a NATO style manner will help each other out when problems arise. We will also work to maintain the unity of the general population and moderate chareidim as we approach the next elections in two years.

2)There is a group developing in RBS of chareidim who want to join the effort for normalizing things in the city and not establishing it as a city just for chareidim. If you want to be part of this group or know of other who do, please e-mail me. I will work to bring the group described above together with this new group. A unity event may be in the works for next Motzei Shabbat. Stay tuned.

3)On a city government level, the ten "tziyoni" council members are unifying together to demand an emergency council meeting to deal with the unbalanced designation of city lands for chareidi institutions as well as some other related issues. This is the first time in the 3 years since the elections that this has happened and means that Deputy Mayor Meir Balayish is taking a stand against the Mayor. Everyone is cautiously optmistic regarding this new spirit of unity which is sweeping the city but these ten council members working together against the Mayor (there are nine chareidi members) could really change the environment in the two years leading up to the elections. 

4)There are some discussions going on which would end the entire dispute regarding the school in a manner which every one of you would support. It is far from over but this relates to our approach of not antagonizing anyone right now and I thank everyone for showing restraint. I will update you as soon as there are any developments.
