today i had the radio on reshet gimmel, and the dj announced "good news"
about the  son of someone famous (i think he said Uri Feiner???)
he then said  " (i don't remember what)  ben adina ... is getting better,
 and it is because of YOUR tefillot.  Hundreds and thousands of you
listeners have been saying tefillot for him"

living in a jewish country!!

which reminds me - the rabbanut got misrad hahinuch to agree to push
off the vacation day for lag ba'omer , and from now on, any year
in which lag ba'omer falls out on a sunday, bonfires are pushed to sunday
night, and school is off on the monday, in order to avoid hillul shabbat

i have more great Israeli moments, for anyone interested
