[RBS] Aliyah: Adapting to school after ulpan/the Israeli education system - lecture by Esti Gedalia

Dear parents,

Although your child may not be part of the municipality children
ulpan, you  may consider  participating this informative lecture.

Please see under further details:

On Monday, February 27th at 20:00 we will have a lecture given by Esti
Gedalia. Esti is the education counselor that accompanies the ulpan.

The lecture will take place at Beit Haole on Shderot Hadedkel st. in
Beit Shemesh and all new olim are invited.

Topics that will be addressed:

Getting used to a ‘normal’ school structure without daily trips to Ulpan

Adapting to a full time Hebrew curriculum

Working with the school to create a suitable study program for your child

Working with the teachers as a partner in your child’s education

Parenting an Oleh - Reinforcement of the children’s achievements and
building self esteem

Dealing with social challenges in the school

Learning a second language may reveal hidden learning disabilities

Hakalot – an Oleh’s rights for leniencies in Bagrut
