[RBS] Aliyah: Adapting to school after ulpan/the Israeli education system - lecture by Esti Gedalia TONIGHT!!!

Dear parents,

Although your child may not be part of the municipality children
ulpan, you  may consider  participating this informative lecture.

TODAY, Monday, February 27th at 20:00 we will have a lecture given by
Esti Gedalia. Esti is the education counselor that accompanies the
ulpan.

The lecture will take place at Beit Haole on Shderot Hadedkel st. in
Beit Shemesh and all olim are invited.

Topics that will be addressed:

Getting used to a ‘normal’ school structure without daily trips to Ulpan

Adapting to a full time Hebrew curriculum

Working with the school to create a suitable study program for your child

Working with the teachers as a partner in your child’s education

Parenting an Oleh - Reinforcement of the children’s achievements and
building self esteem

Dealing with social challenges in the school

Learning a second language may reveal hidden learning disabilities

Hakalot – an Oleh’s rights for leniencies in Bagrut



Directions:

Beit Haole is in Beit Shemesh, Givat Sharet on Shdeort Hadekel st.

The building is located between the Givat Savion pizza and the
Meirhoff community center. There is a parking space across the street
(if you come from Ramat Beit Shemesh the parking space will be on your
side, across Beit Haole). If you come from out of Beit Shemesh you
will enter the second entrance to the city, shderot ben zev, the south
entrance. Drive up the road towards a large circle. At the circle you
take a right on shdeort hadekel and drive straight up the hill. The
building is right after the savion pizza and you can park off the
road.
