[RBS] what is the connection between grinding "rotelim" and "Lema'an Achai"?

When I was a 15-yr-old boy, after school (ok, sometimes during school
hours!) my friends and I would go to Meah Shearim in Yerushalayim to grind
wheat for matza baking. We called it "grinding rotelim" (rotel is a weight
measurement - approx 2.88 kg).
The rotelim grinding was hard work and the pay low, but we didn't go there
to earn money. We went to be part of the mitzvah and also to build up our
muscles (it's possible that in those days our priority order was the
opposite!)

Every Thursday evening, Lema'an Achai packs and delivers food packages to
families in Ramat Beit Shemesh.
Some of the products are donated by Dil V'zol and Best Market and some are
purchased by Lema'an Achai from various suppliers.
Kids and teenagers pack the food according to the size of the families and
then drivers come (male and female) who deliver the packages to the
families.
Approx. 40 generous packages are distributed each week.

We do not have enough drivers each week and much time is wasted in calling
on "emergency drivers" to come and help out.
In order that we can continue to give out the maximum number of packages
each week, we really need more drivers.
The whole job takes up to 30 minutes.

So, if you want to gain a mitzvah, and at the same time strengthen your
muscles, we will be delighted to see you every Thursday night at 8.45 behind
"Dil V'zol". You don't have to commit ahead of time to coming - just turn
up. You will be able to choose how many packages you will be able to
deliver.
