[RBS] Electronic Waste collection + textiles + metals

Electronic Waste collection will take place next week on "Yom Maasim Tovim"
Tuesday March 20th, around Israel.

Bring your electronic waste, old textiles, metals cans and metal products
for recycling!!!
Sponsored by Amuta "Ruach Tova" in conjunction with the regional "Sorek"
Environment Unit.

WHEN: Tuesday, March 20th from 10:00-19:00

WHERE in Beit Shemesh 
1. RBS: Ahavat Yisrael Girls School, Nachal Sorek 15
2. BS: Ofakim School, HaGefen 1, next to the city Education dept.

WHAT: E-Waste, such as: Small appliances, computers, faxes, kettles,
blenders, washing machines, microwaves, phones, recorders, speakers,
dvd/video players, cables, etc.
Metal: Tin an aluminum cans, metal products (blender blades, knives, tin
foil, pots)
Textiles: old fabrics, clothes, sheets, blankets, pillows, towels

WHY: Electronic waste contains heavy chemicals that can leech into the
earth, poisoning the ground water and the soil. Recycling removes these
items from the dump sites, enables reuse of the various metals and plastics,
and then assures that the heavy chemical by-products are interned in a
specially designed landfill.

WHO: Everyone can help!
DRIVERS: If you can pick up items from people without cars, please post to
your local lists/neighbours.

VOLUNTEERS: Seeking volunteers to assist collection, recording and sorting
during the day.
