Likrat Kallah is known for its home parties-get togethers where someone
invites friends to her home, along with light refreshments, sometimes an
interesting lecturer or demonstration, an explanation about the gemach that
I give and everyone who comes merits the mitzvah of Hachnasat Kallah by
bringing a gift for a needy kallah, which is then distributed by Likrat
Kallah. B"H, many women in Ramat Bet Shemesh have hosted such parties.

Perhaps you have relatives/friends in America or England who would be
interested in hosting such a party. It's a great chance to:

	 1. help kallahs in Israel whose families are experiencing financial
difficulties and need the extra help-in our case, in the form of six, new
household items.
            2. get your friends involved and have them do chessed in their
community

           3. ask H-shem to empower the mitzvah with the 2 segulot it is
specifically known for :
***a refua sheleima as seen in the morning prayers Ailu
Devarim Sha-adam Ochel Perotahim where the mitzvah of helping a needy kallah
comes smack between
Bikur Cholim, visiting the sick and Levayat Hamat,
accompanying the deceased. The Steipler, zt"l, explained that is is because
the mitzvah of helping a kallah
can be a buffer between the two other mitzvoth.
***And, in the area of Shiduchim. As Rebbetzin Rothman of Neve
Yerushalayim said, "If you want H-shem to help you with your kallahs, you
have to be helping
               H-shem with His Kallahs!

I am hoping to be abroad late June/early July and thought that this would
be a great opportunity to attend parties abroad. If you think you can
contact someone and
interest them, please send me a note and we can work on it
together. Remember-while it is a fundraiser, it's not an overwhelming
endeavour-a home party with a few
friends and donations that can help but aren't in the ball park
of a new building (although it would be really nice to receive such a sum!)

             Thanks, Sadeena Pinhasik
