[RBS] Police confiscate Lag B'Omer wood!

Good for the police!

Every one of those medurot set up on Hayarden was dangerous!
They were built directly on top of weeds that can ignite it a second.
We have been trying to get them to take down these medurot ever since they've been put up.
Had the kids, and their parents, built the medurot in a proper place FAR AWAY from dangerous weeds, I'm sure the police wouldn't have taken the wood.
Better to take them apart beforehand, then to come afterwards and deal with an injured child.

A hard, but safe lesson learned by all !!

After weeks of careful foraging and collecting ( using their own wagon, under adult supervision and with great teamwork all round), my son and his Medora Posse came to add the finishing touches to their bonfire today to find it GONE!

For the nine years since we have been here, there have been fires all the way along HaYarden and I did not see any warnings this year in the press NOT to build there this year.

Apparently the police came in trucks this afternoon and carted all the wood away. I?m guessing the Iriyah is inviting all those families who are now without a Midora to join a huge communal one to make up for the dozens of disappointed kids in the neighborhood.

Seriously, does anyone have any feedback/suggestions/advice as to how we can get some of the boy?s wood back so they can at least rebuild elsewhere?
Or failing that, where we can get some on short notice.
