"The Shared Journey…"
Volunteer Training Course in Spiritual Care Supporting People with Illness
and Their Families
We are happy to announce the opening of a unique volunteer training course 
in  supporting people with illness and their families in Beit Shemesh
The course will include:
Theoretical knowledge relating to cases of crisis, old age, illness and 
loss. 

Review of the significance and role of the community and mutual 
responsibility, 


Spiritual care tools such as the use of Jewish text, prayer and 
communication 

Practice of skills relating to listening and awareness. 

 

At the conclusion of the course, volunteers will be placed, according to 
their preference, in health care facilities or home visits. 

This course is part of "hibur" program, connecting between the individual, 
the community and medical centers through spiritual care as a means to 
create a healthy society in Israel. 

Following the training the group will continue to meet on a monthly basis 

Course details:
The course will take on Mondays for 8 sessions 17:00 – 20:00 on the 
following dates
August 27th, Sept 3rd, 10th, 24th, Oct 15th, 22nd, 29th Nov 5th 

Volunteers will be interviewed prior to participation in course.
Interviews last week of June so need to register before the interview 
process.
