thanks everyone for your response - I got a ride.  anyone interested in setting up some kind of system or phone thing where people can offer rides, or people can find rides to and from places?  the list is great, but if you need a ride withinin an hour or two, it doesnt post it in time..... if anyones interested ill help set it up.
