[RBS] wash turned blue!

Can anyone help me to restore a men's dress shirt, washed in hot water with a navy blue sock, to its original white???!!!  You know how the washing machine eats socks, well I think this time it had a baby, because the machine was empty when I put in the wash, really.

All advice and rescue aid appreciated.
