YOSEF MENDELEVITCH Prisoner of Zion and author of Unbroken Spirit.

Yoseph Mendelevitch was one of the participants of the
Dymshits-Kuznetsov hijacking affair (an attempted hijacking by a group of
Refuseniks in order to escape Soviet Russia).

As punishment, he was sentenced to 12 years in forced labor camps.
He served in the Gulag with famous Jewish dissident, Natan Sharansky.
In 1981 he was released and immigrated to Israel.

Yosef Mendelevitch will be speaking about:
His experiences in Russia's prisons and their connection to Teshuva
His struggle on behalf of himself and others for the freedom to be
allowed to live as a Jew in Israel.
