[RBS] have you ever painted a closet?

We have an MDF-door closet, light-colored, and my daughter was thinking of
trying to paint it. Do you have any feedback-ie. "Don't bother! It comes out
horrible!" or "Yeah-we did it and it was awesome!"? If you did it
successfully, what kind of paint did you use and how many coats did you
need?
