[RBS] ?hot iron cleaner?

After googling to find out how to clean the soleplate of an iron, 
I find recommendations for a commmercial product called "hot iron cleaner".
Has anyone seen such a product here in Israel?
If not, do you have a tried and true way of cleaning the soleplate (bottom) of the iron when it starts to drag
or  has accumulated dirt? Yes, I have instructions from WikiHow but I always prefer advice from someone who has already done tit
and succeeded.
