The First Station in Jerusalem is a historic site in the heart of Jerusalem. The railway station was completed in 1892, and was inaugurated in the same year on September 26th. Located between Bethlehem Road and Hebron Road near the Germany Colony, the station was part of the Jaffa- Jerusalem railway.

This summer, the First Station Compound will host an international exhibition that will run from July 1st to August 31st 2013. The exhibition will host model trains from around the world, ranging from the era before the First World War to current state of the art model trains. The trains have been flown to Israel from different parts of the world, and they will be displayed on a railway line reaching over 1 km in length. There will be approximately 40 different replicas on display. In addition, videos and films taken on the actual trains will be screened on huge screens dispersed throughout the compound.

The exhibit will allow visitors to see the train replicas up close, including replicas of rare and unique trains, which are on lend from collectors and were flown to Israel from around the world. Around 40 miniature trains from all ages and of all types will be displayed on over one kilometer of train tracks.

The exhibit is appropriate for the whole family and offers an exciting, fascinating and educational experience, including films filmed from the trains in the exhibit which will be screened on huge plasma screens, an arts and crafts space, train replica building, and more.

The exhibition is a general exhibition which is open to the whole family. It is likely to attract enthusiasts from around the world.
