[RBS] scarab beetles?

I am wondering if anyone has a similar experience. It seems that scarab
beetles (large, black, um, not gorgeous) have dug through the balatot of my
mirpesset and made a tunnel underneath the floor in which they lay eggs. Has
this happened to you? I am wondering what to do about it.
