[RBS] Ordering gas masks

Just a reminder that gas masks can be ordered by calling *2237. Please G-d
we should never need them, but makes sense for those who don’t have, to be
pro-active and order them. There was a complete balagan and panic just a
few months ago when there was a very real need for them. I'm not trying to
spread panic, just common sense and good advice! Make sure that everyone in
the family has a mask that is age appropriate.



It costs 25 shekel and they will send it to your front door.



Whilst on the topic, there was a lot of panic created over the summer with
rumors of a specific type of gas mask not working (I believe the ברדס, the
green one). I questioned Pikkud Haoref about it, and they said that in the
event that there is a problem with specific masks, Pikud Haoref will be in
direct contact with all those effected. They said that there is no problem
with the ברדס, what may have happened is that there was a problem with a
specific batch; in which case Pikkud Haoref did indeed contact all those
who had the affected ones. But not that there was a general widespread
problem with all ברדס ones …. Hope that’s clear enough! I don’t believe I
am being naïve in believing this, as they had a precise record of exactly
the different gas masks that we have.
