[RBS] Umbrella charity organization?

A friend in America would like to give to an umbrella jewish charity site which gives to many charities, especially in Israel for soldiers, evacuees, feeding people, etc. I know there is one which was on the list serve but I do not remember the founder. Please get back to me.Thank you. Ilene RBS-A
