LABRIUT SPECIALTY HEALTH CENTER This week's Labriut Specialist Spotlight: Menachem Schechter, M.D. Gastroenterology - Adults Dr. Schechter completed his medical training in New York, including graduating from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in 2002, and subsequently did his residency in Internal Medicine and fellowship in Gastroenterology. Since making Aliyah in 2012, he has worked in the Shaare Zedek Medical Center where he runs the Gastro-Genetics Clinics, which specializes in counselling and preventing cancer in people at high risk of Gastrointestinal malignancy due to personal or familial risk factors. He also serves as the Medical Director of Meuhedet’s Endoscopy Center at Misgav Ladach Hospital in Jerusalem. Dr. Schechter specializes in treating a wide variety of gastrointestinal issues and utilizes a patient- centered approach which attempts to minimize unnecessary tests and integrates complementary elements including diet and acupuncture. He also performs the full range of endoscopic testing and treatments, including screening colonoscopy and removal of complex precancerous or cancerous growths.
