Shavua Tov I worked at Merkaz Kidma 17 years ago as a Speech Therapist and Leora Levy was in charge of the Speech Therapists and her husband Shachar was selling, adjusting and fixing hearing aids and providing the appropriate accessories (like batteries etc)

Training under Leora was a very special experience. Aside from giving hadracha to her own therapists at Kidma including myself, she was head of the Speech Department at Kallit and gave hadracha also at Mevasseret Tzion. And she was even working on a Phd in Speech Therapy!!! Yes she had a lot of energy! She was very insightful, encouraging and extremely personable.

Since my time at Kidma, we have remained in touch. Leora completed her PhD and has been BA university students on Speech Therapy and Audiology - including: hearing tests,hearing aids and other devices such as .Ear Poppers etc.

Merkaz Kidma branched out considerably since I worked there - they used to have a Beit Shemesh branch and a Jerusalem branch. Now they are spread across the country! With contracts with the Kupot Cholim, Kidma conducts hearing tests at subsidized prices as well as providing hearing devices at extremely significantly reduced prices - for example instead of paying 6000nis for a device you can get it for around only 50 nis!.
