Lately, I've had this also with some webpages a flashing triangle in Mandriva 2009.0 warning me of this. There could be a browser cookie at work here, and although they don't always admit it at certain times of the day they have server overload. The ping should hit the server and bounce back at a normal rate. In Dos there is a way to check this, but I'm unsure in Mandriva

Thanks, Moshe, but my problem is not low speeds, but rather disconnects.
