So your experience is only in Israel and you see the delay on both
set-top boxes and PC-based receivers?
Sounds right. I remember that (I think) Yes satellite TV came with
digital broadcast (DVB-S?) with encryption and the cables switched to
encrypted signal someone explained to me that the encryption adds to
the time it takes to switch channels.
My only personal experience is with Free-to-Air Standard-Definition
(SD) DVB-T set-top box (and recorder) in Australia (and probably seen
some TV's with built-in tuners around).
I suppose I'll just have to ask on the Australian list.
