Problems with Mako VOD on Linux

I am having a horrible time playing Mako VOD which I think is cached on a
content delivery network.

I am getting an error message telling me to play it directly in my windows
media player, but it hangs.

The external address is

I can sort of see it in vlc, but not stop it.

Very annoying! Any idea how I can see it?
